Save the San Luis Rey Downs Golf Resort

Dear Neighbors and Friends of San Luis Rey Downs Golf Course,

I know you are all wondering what is going on with the golf course. It is a process that continues and your support is more important than ever. Trust me when I tell you we are working every angle. We have some exciting things in the works and we hope to reveal some details to you at our next meeting. We schedule our community open meetings regarding Save The Downs, on the first Friday of the month at 5PM at the Bonsall Community Center. If this date needs to be changed, it is posted on our Facebook page and emails are sent out. Stay up to date at: www.facebook.com/savethebonsallgolfcourse

Please attend for a complete update. In the meantime, below please find the list of all public officials with their contact information. It is very important that we send letters asking them for support in opposition of the Mitigation Bank in our community.
Elected officials consider every letter received as 100 votes.

Please write to them.

How to Get Involved

1.) U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has discretion on whether to grant a land bank permit for closure of the Downs, turning it in to the Moosa Creek Mitigation Bank. We urge residents to write Shanti Abichandani Santulli of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Shanti.A.Santulli@usace.army.mil. Copies of sample letters may be found here.

2.) Your State and Local Elected Officials

The closure of The Downs would detrimentally impact the economic, recreational, cultural and environmental vibrancy of Northern San Diego County. Your state and county elected officials should be made aware of your opinion on this matter as well. To find your member of the California state Senate and assembly, click here.
